Welcome to your charming White Mountain home! Enjoy spacious and thoughtfully designed living in this expansive six bedroom house with three baths. There are numerous outdoor activities at your fingertips - choose from hiking, skiing, mountain biking, golf, snowmobiling, etc! Located just a six-minute drive to Littleton, with one of the best small town main streets in the US, and a 15-20 minute drive to Bretton Woods and Cannon. It's a perfect spot for a big group or family!
We have meticulously curated this space with local antiques and furniture to accentuate the natural charm of the property. While well-designed, the home is purposefully minimal, yet completely functional. We hope to provide a clean and decluttered feel while having all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay.
The first floor consists of a dining room, living room, kitchen, and full bath. The living room is an expansive open area with a large couch and additional table with six chairs. Dining room seats eight comfortably at a large table. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a commercial grade prep table, range, and oven (electric). Please note that the oven is on the smaller side, but has two full size racks so can accommodate everyday cooking needs.
On the second floor you will find three well appointed bedrooms. The master has a memory foam California king mattress with direct access to the powder room featuring dual sinks and jacuzzi tub. There is another large bedroom with a king bed and desk, and the last bedroom has two twin beds, which is perfect for kids. Lastly, there is a stand up shower and sauna off of the hallway. All bedrooms are very spacious and have closets, end tables, bureaus, lamps, etc.
The third floor has another three bedrooms and full bath. These rooms are slightly smaller than those on the second floor, but still have ample space. There is one queen bed and two full beds. There is an additional space on this level with a sitting area and common sink.
Lastly, there is a large yard out back! We have a picnic table, fire pit with Adirondack chairs, and grill for your use. Plenty of space to let the kids run around or bring your favorite yard games. There is also a full height basement for any storage you may need.
We have a driveway to the right of the house that can comfortably fit four cars. It's also fine to park on the street during non-winter months (November 1 - April 15) as long as other cars can safely pass.
We are located in the little town of Bethlehem, about six minutes outside of beautiful Littleton. We have a cafe and brewery walkable from the house, as well as hiking and mountain biking trails. Bretton Woods and Cannon are only about 20 minutes away and about an hour from Mt. Washington and Wildcat. Half an hour to Lincoln for all the family fun you could desire!
Please note - while you will have the entire house to yourself, there are two guest suites attached to the left side of the house. These both have private entrances on the other side of the building, but they do share a wall with this house.
This area is absolutely amazing for anyone who likes the outdoors. Besides the obvious skiing and hiking, we also have fantastic mountain biking right in Bethlehem (search Bethlehem Trails Assoc.) and in Littleton as well (Parker Mtn. trails). For our fellow golfers, there are two golf courses right in Bethlehem (Bethlehem and Maplewood Country Clubs). Moore Reservoir is a great swimming spot and only about a 10-minute drive away and has many access points to camp, swim, BBQ, and launch boats. Snowmobiling is also nearby and there's plenty of room for trailers on the street.
While there's so much to like about the property, it is an older house and has some quirks, such as those listed below:
- The windows are older and some may not open cleanly. Please do not force them.
- There are two flights of stairs within the house so if anyone in your group has mobility issues this may not be the right place to stay.
- The heating works well but may take up to 20 minutes to kick on as it is steam heat.
